The Punjab Public Service Commission invites Online Application Forms from eligible candidates for recruitment to Four Hundred & Four Posts of Medical Officers (General) in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Punjab.

Name of the Posts: Medical Officer

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :-
(i) M.B.B.S.
(ii) Registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other duly constituted Medical Council in India;
(iii) Knowledge of Punjabi Language upto Matriculation Standard or its equivalent. Candidate who do not possess this qualification shall have to acquire this qualification within six months of their joining the service failing which their services shall be terminated.

(Relaxable for Sikh Migrants to the extent that they will have to acquire such qualification within two years after joining the service failing which their services shall liable to be terminated)

AGE
(i) Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 37 years of age as on 01-01-2015.
(ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 45 years for all States/ Central Government employees.
(iii) The Upper age limit is relaxed upto 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab.

PAY SCALE : Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400 Grade Pay. Regarding drawing the pay of the appointed candidate, as per Notification No. 7/204/2012-4FP1/66, Dated 15/01/2015 Govt. of Punjab Department of Finance (Finance Personnel-I Branch) Chandigarh, fixed emolument equal to Minimum of the Pay Band without any Grade Pay or any allowance will be paid during the probation period of 2 years. It is also clear that Annual increment or any other allowance except travelling allowance will not be paid during the probation period of 2 years

Qualification and Experience:

Deputy General Manager (F&A): MBA/M.Com with at least 50% marks from a recognized University (OR) Chartered Accountant/Costs and Works Accountant. Minimum 4 years post qualification experience in Managerial Capacity in Finance & Accounts in a Commercial Organization.

It is reiterated that this relaxation clause is only applicable to Ex-Servicemen of Punjab Domicile (as per Rule 6 of Punjab Recruitment of Ex-servicemen Rules,1982).
g) Candidates already in Government service shall be considered for selection only on production of ‘No Objection Certificate' from the department concerned at the time of counseling.
