Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) Government of Tamil Nadu invites applications for Direct Recruitment to the vacancies for the year 2013 - 2014 in the folowing posts.

Assistant Professor in Engineering Colleges: 193 posts

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 - 39100 + AGP : Rs.6000/-

Qualifications :
For Asistant Profesor (Enginering Subjects) [Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, EIE, Computer Science and Enginering, Production Enginering and Metalurgy] : B.E. / B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech. in the relevant branch of Enginering or Technology with First Clas or its equivalent either in B.E or B.Tech. or M.E. or M.Tech

For Asistant Profesor (Non-Enginering Subjects) [English / Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry] : 
1. Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with good academic record of not less than 5% of marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University, and
2. Pass in the National Eligibilty Test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, Council for Scientifc and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test acredited by the University Grants Commision. Provided that holders of Ph.D Degree are exempted from pasing the said test.

Age Limt : Candidates should not be over 35 years of age, as on 1.7.2014 for Enginering Subjects and Non-enginering Subjects. (As prescribed by the Director of Technical Education)

Application Form: The Application Form (OMR format) along with Prospectus can be purchased (from 20.08.2014 to 05.09.2014) in person from the Office of the Chief Educational Officers of all 32 Districts in Tamilnadu on payment of Rs.100/- in cash towards the cost of the Application Form and Prospectus.

Examination fee: The candidates are requested to pay the examination fes Rs.600/- (Rupes Six Hundred only) (Rs.300/- (Rupes Thre Hundred only) for SC/ST and Diferently Abled) in any Branch of STATE BANK OF INDIA / INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK using only the prescribed chal an at ached with the prospectus. 

How To Apply: Candidates are advised to submit the filled-in forms at the Office of the Chief Educational Officer concerned on or before 05/09/2014 upto 5.00 P.M, and obtain acknowledgement for the same. Candidates are advised not to send the filled-in Application forms by post or in person to the Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai-6.
