Indian Coast Guard Recruitment of MT Driver, Cook, Steward & Other Posts

Applications from eligible candidates are invited for the following posts to be filled on direct
recruitment basis as indicated below:-

1. MT Driver (OG): 03 Posts
Educational Qualification:
Essential: (i) 10th standard pass.
(ii) Must possess valid driving licence for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
(iii) Should have at least two years experience in driving motor vehicles.
(iv) Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).

2. Fireman: 01 Post
Educational Qualification:
Essential :
(a) Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
(b) Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
Note : The physical fitness shall be tested as per the following physical standards :-
(i) Height without shoes – 165 cms provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes and candidates of hilly  areas.
(ii) Chest (unexpanded) 81.5 cms.
(iii) Chest (on expansion)-85 cms
(iv) Weight-50 kg (min)
(v) Endurance Test
(1) Carrying a man weighing 63.5 Kgs by Fireman lift up to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
(2) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch by landing on both feet (long jump).
(3) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope by hands and feet.

3. Lascar I Class: 01 Post
Educational Qualification:
(i) Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognised boards.
(ii) Three years experience in service on boat.

4. MT-Cleaner: 01 Post
Educational Qualification:
(i) Matriculation or equivalent pass.
(ii) Two years experience in mechanical workshop.

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18-27 years for post 1, 2, 4, 18-30 years for post 3 as on the last date of receiving applications. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Govt Servants & others as per rules.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on written examination/ interviews, driving test and other trade test/ physical test.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may may send their application in the prescribed format on plain paper affixing Passport size photograph along with attested copies of all certificates by Ordinary Post to the concerned Commander as given in the notification within 30 days from the date of advt.
