National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) Recruitment of Engineers 2014

The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute.  NCRA–TIFR has set up and operates two radio telescopes, viz., the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). NCRA-TIFR is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following position tenable at GMRT Observatory, Khodad.

1. Engineer-D (Electronics) : 01 Post (GMRT)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- plus grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.E./M.Tech or PhD. (Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years Experience in design and development of Radio Frequency systems / Antenna Receiver systems / Optical Fibre systems.

2. Engineer-C (Electronics) :  04 posts (UR-2 GMRT, UR-1 ORT, OBC-1 GMRT)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years, For UR and 31 years for OBC.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- plus grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E./B.Tech (Electronics) Graduate with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. Must have Experience 01-2 years’ experience in Analog electronics / Radio Frequency electronics / Optical Fibre systems in a large and reputed organization.
