Central University of Haryana (CUH) invites applications for the following faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor for Direct Recruitment or on Deputation/Lien
1. Professor: 13 in various Disciplines
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000, AGP Rs. 10000/- (PB-IV)
2. Associate Professor: 26 in various Disciplines
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000,AGP Rs. 9000/- (PB-IV)
3. Assistant Professor: 52 in various Disciplines
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100, AGP Rs. 6000/- (PB-III)
DETAILS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ETC. FOR THE POSTS shall be as per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education 2010 amended from time to time for which UGC website www.ugc.ac.in may be referred.
Assistant Professor (Arts, Humanities, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Education, Languages, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication):
1. Good Academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligible Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.
3. Notwithstanding anything herein above at Sr. no. 1 and 2, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
4. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
Assistant Professor (Tourism & Hotel Management
A. Essential
1. First Class Master’s Degree in Tourism / Hotel Management or in a relevant/allied discipline or two year full time PG Diploma declared equivalent by AIU / Accredited by the AICTE / UGC.
B. Desirable
1. Teaching research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in referred journals.
Note : For further clarification and details pertaining to minimum qualification and eligibility conditions for all advertised posts including Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in respective departments, UGC website www.ugc.ac.in may be referred.
OTHER CONDITIONS:
1. The candidates for the post of Associate Professor and Professor must enter the relevant score in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as given in the Part – B of the application form. Those who have applied earlier in response to Advertisement No 1/2014 and had deposited the requisite fee are not required to apply again. But they can update their application if they desire. However, such applicants are required to submit the details regarding their DD, receipt No (if allotted) and other relevant
details by the last date for submission of application.
2. The application form must be accompanied by additional sheets (wherever required) and enclosures giving details of academic qualifications, experience, published work etc.
3. Candidates applying for the post of Professor shall submit copies of top five full-length papers published in journals/books, along with their applications.
4. Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Master’s level in the case of SC/ST/ PWD (Persons with Disability) and to those Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
5. The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/ or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.
6. The reservation for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per the Government of India rules.
7. Candidates seeking reservation under OBC are required to submit certificate on the format prescribed by the Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training. Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) candidates will be considered as OBC only if they submit the required certificate on the above mentioned format. Further, they shall submit the declaration given at the end of the application form.
8. The appointment under OBC quota is provisional and is subject to the community certificate being verified through the proper channels. If the verification reveals that the claim of the candidate to belong to Other Backward Classes or not to belong to creamy layer is false, his/her services will be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons and without prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provisions of Indian Panel Code for production of false certificates.
9. The selected candidates shall be appointed under a written contract.
10. Applicants not found suitable for higher positions may be considered for lower positions in the same area of specialization.
11. The pay and allowances of persons joining on deputation will be as per rules of Govt. of India / University in force.
