Assistant Professors: 50 (Veterinary and Animal Sciences - 40, Dairy Science & Technology - 10)
Qualification: 1. Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system followed) at the Masters Degree Level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
a) A relaxation of 5o/o is provided for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe / differently abled (Physically and visually differently abled) categories.
b) A relaxation of 5oh is provided to the Ph. D Degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September 1991.
2. a) The candidate must have cleared the NET conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET .
b) candidates who have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with UGC (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D Degree) regulations 2009 are exempted from(2 a) above.
Age limit : Should not have attained the age of 40 years as on the last date for submission of the application i.e. 31-07-2014. For candidates from SC/ST category, there will be a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.
Emoluments: The salary and service conditions shall be as prescribed by the UGC Regulations and Government orders issued from time to time.
How to Apply: The applications in the prescribed form that can be downloaded from the University website: http://www.kvasu.ac.in/ 1fi should be sent to the Registrar, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Pookode, Lakkidi P O, Wayanad - 673 576, Kerala along with a copy of the Curriculum Vitae. self- attested copies of the all the testimonials and a DD for Rs.1000i- (Rs.500/- in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled caste/tribe) drawn in favour of "The Finance Officer, KVASU, Pookode" payable at State Bank of Travancore, Kalpetta Branch, Wayanad District, Kerala, towards application fee, in a sealed envelope bearing the superscript: "Application for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor .......(Here write the name of the discipline and the College/ Station/Centre applying for ) and the full address of the applicant with the contact number so as to reach this office on or before 31-07 -2014, 3 pm. Separate application should be submitted for each College/ Station/Centre and discipline.
